Secure Computer Recycling – Preferred Supplier on the WA Government Recycling Panel (CUARWD2025)

As a preferred supplier on the WA Government recycling panel, we make retiring old IT simple for agencies. When a WA Government agency needs to retire equipment, it can’t just send it anywhere. Anything holding data has to go through a supplier the State has already checked and approved, under a panel called a Common Use Arrangement, or CUA.

We’ve again been named a preferred supplier on the current recycling CUA, CUARWD2025. For agencies and local councils, that means continuing to use us directly for secure data deletion and IT recycling, without going out to tender first.

Why this matters

A CUA is the government’s shortlist of approved suppliers. The pricing and the compliance checks are already done, so an agency can get us started instead of running a tender every time. CUARWD2025 is the recycling and waste side of it, set up to keep equipment in use and out of landfill wherever possible.

We’ve been at it since 2008

We started in 2008, when eWaste was only beginning to get the attention it needed in WA. It’s been our focus ever since: wiping data properly, recovering value from old equipment, and recycling the rest to ISO standards. When you’re handing over gear with sensitive data on it, that experience is what counts.

What we do under the CUA

We can take on the whole job, from a few office desktops to a full data centre.

Say NO to landfill

Reuse always comes first. That’s the same order of priorities the State works to under its Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Strategy 2030, or WARR: avoid, reuse, recycle, recover, and only send something to landfill when there’s genuinely nothing else left to do with it. If a machine still works, we remarket or donate it. If it doesn’t, we strip it back and recover the materials. Landfill is the last thing we reach for, not the default, and that’s exactly how the State wants this gear handled.

Certified data erasure

Before anything leaves, every drive gets wiped using Blancco, to the NIST 800-88 standard, and you get a certificate for each device so there’s a clear record it was done. If a drive can’t be wiped, we destroy it physically instead. It’s the same paper trail and chain of custody government agencies expect under the CUA, so whether you’re handing over one laptop or a whole office, your records stack up if anyone ever asks.

Supporting WA’s waste strategy

CUARWD2025 isn’t just a shortcut for buying. It’s part of how the State actually delivers its Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Strategy 2030, which is WA’s plan to cut waste, recover more, and move toward a circular economy. eWaste is one of the streams it’s focused on, and the government uses arrangements like this one to make it happen. Every machine we keep in use or recycle properly is a small part of hitting those goals, so when an agency picks us under the CUA, they’re ticking that box too.
